Rajesh Parekh
Bio
Rajesh Parekh is with Yahoo! since October 2004. He is currently a member of the Advertising Sciences team at Yahoo! labs and leads Targeting Science. He is keenly interested in applying data mining and machine learning algorithms to solve challenging business problems. He has worked on various projects at Yahoo! that focused on increasing ad monetization, improving the user experience, and providing a compelling value proposition to advertisers and publishers.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, Rajesh worked with the Data Mining team at Blue Martini Software where he was involved with buidling Business Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management solutions for the retail e-commerce space. Before Blue Martini, he was the Allstate Research Center applying data mining to insurance problems such as cross-sell, retention, and fraud.
Rajesh got his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University. His dissertation research focussed on constructive learning of neural networks and induction of regular grammars.
