Deepa Paranjpe obtained her Masters in Computer Science from IIT, Bombay in India. Her research interests include application of natural language processing and machine learning techniques to web search ranking and other problems in social and media networks. She has worked on Automatic question answering, natural language paraphrasing, expert detection in social networks and document aboutness. She primarily works on problems in Yahoo! Search, Yahoo! Search Assistance, Yahoo! Answers and Yahoo! News.
