I am a researcher with the Query Intent Sciences team working on log analysis for spelling correction. Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2005 I worked for AltaVista in relevance measurement. I received my M.Sc. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Sussex, England in 1975, and my Ph.D. in Computer Science (Automatic Speech Recognition) from the University of Calgary, Canada in 1982.
