Yahoo! Labs Latin America, based in Santiago, was the first Yahoo! Lab established outside the United States. Hosted in the Engineering School of the University of Chile at Santiago, this lab focuses on research in the areas of Web search and mining, harnessing the strengths of the Latin American academic search community through collaborations and joint projects, in particular with the Center for Web Research of the CS Dept. of the University of Chile.
