Ronen joined Yahoo! research in Jan 2008 as a Research Engineer at Yahoo! Israel Research Lab where he works on search technologies. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Ronen was a Product Architect and Software Development Manager at Microsoft Corporation where he developed the Windows Fax Server system and later the Microsoft Firewall / Web Proxy server product. Prior to that, Ronen was a developer at Intel Corporation where he developed network management products. Ronen received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) in 1993.

Ronen is passionate about software design, network security, mobile devices and software development methodologies. He is also known to be a geographic photography buff.
